Divorce or separation is intensely difficult and emotional, not only for adults but for children.  While the relationship between parents may have ended, their need to co-parent their children will remain, often for many years to come.  The Domestic Relations Office's "Building New Beginnings" workshop is designed for divorced, separated, or never married parents who may have struggled to build or maintain a constructive co-parenting relationship.  The workshop is child-focused.  It provides in-depth insights into why conflict persists, and why it is necessary for the well-being of children and parents to let go of the past and "build a new beginning."  Through this workshop, parents will be provided with the tools they need to build a positive co-parenting relationship.  Topics include information on how children of all ages are affected by divorce/separation; the role of parental conflict and its negative effect on children; how to break old, frustrating patterns of communication with the other parent; effective co-parenting strategies to improve communication and reduce conflict with the other co-parent; new relationships and blended family issues; and much more.

This 12-hour workshop is conducted on ZOOM via a live, interactive presentation in six, 2-hour segments.

Cost: $50.00
