Parents on community supervision are required to complete a parenting class within three months of their initial reporting. The classes are usually taught by licensed professionals and focus on: understanding family behavior, managing stress, understanding children's needs, listening with your heart, parenting styles, family communication, resolving conflict, learning discipline, managing anger, co-parenting, and more.
Classes are free of charge and taught by the Domestic Relations Parent Workshop Program staff. An officer will provide instructions that direct which class a parent will attend. Visit the Parent Workshop section of this website for more information.
