Request a Mediation

Mediation signWelcome to the Domestic Relations Office (DRO) mediation program.  Mediation can assist in resolving your family law matter.  Since complete case information is needed, an application for both parties must be received before a mediation is scheduled.  Only a party or their attorney may complete a request form.  Contact the DRO Intake Office at 713-274-7303 to inquire about mediation dates.  After agreeing upon a mutual date with the other party, reconfirm with the DRO so that the mediation slot is scheduled.

Completing this packet does not guarantee a mediation date.  Mediations begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday - Friday.  Plan to be present for the entire mediation session, which may be between four to six hours.

MEDIATION ANNOUNCEMENT:

As the DRO delivers mediations via ZOOM, parties must be present in settings that lend themselves to the mediation process. Attorneys and their clients must participate in the entire mediation session from either (1) their attorney's office or (2) the DRO mediation suite (1310 Prairie, Suite 780, Houston, Texas).  All self-represented litigants must participate in mediation from the DRO mediation suite.  Failure to participate from one of these locations will result in the cancellation of the mediation session and a subsequent reset fee.
